[awty?] turns one!
[are we there yet?] turns one
on this day last year, i posted my first entry on this blog. well, it's not really a proper entry, but it counts anyway. since then, i've blogged about a lot of things. from goreng pisang to a trip to terengganu, from song lyrics to my deepest feelings, i blogged about anything that deemed appropriately bloggable.
true, i'm no jeff ooi or mack zulkifli, and i would be lucky to get 10 hits per day but i'm proud of [awty?] and i'm going to continue posting in my effort to find the answer to the question 'are we there yet?'
why call it [are we there yet?] i hear from someone at back, well obviously 'screenshots' was taken and at the same time my.... hey wait a minute, this would be a great topic for my future posts wouldn't it? so stay tuned. hehehe...
to you non-bloggers out there, you might ask what's so good about blogging? maybe you think that bloggers are just a bunch of narcissists, trying to emulate journalists or something. maybe you're right. but for me, apart from polishing my writing skills, [awty?] gives me the opportunity to get acquainted with new people, and reconnect with long lost friends while keeping in touch with my current buddies.
yes, i'm going to go on as long as i can and as long as blogger and the photo hosting remain free. so for the taste of what to come, here are a few planned future entry titles:
- the 'fongkar' guy
- the bosnian lady
- the irish and jogging
- me and the irish 'makcik's
- home sweet home
- the day we lost him
- what's up with that?
i think i'm going to stick with this template for a while, even though there're a few technical issues. but i'm going to change the header pictures from time to time.
i would to take this opportunity to thank blogger, photobucket, flickr, fotopages, the petaling street project, kubrick and michael k. pate, noipo.org, and to the visitors of [awty?], whoever you are.
here's to another year. or two.
